Merger Proposition

Tim: Alright, Audrey. Let’s cut to it. Red Lightning is ready to merge. We’ve got the speed, the energy, the market share. What are you bringing to the table with Braid?

Audrey: Structure. Loyalty. Long-term clients who don’t jump ship every quarter. Your lightning burns bright, Tim, but it also burns out. Braid holds things together.

Tim: Fair. But my people move fast. Your side moves… carefully. If we merge, who’s running the day-to-day?

Audrey: Shared leadership. Equal seats on the board. No one gets to play king. And the new company name isn’t just “Red Lightning” with my logo stuck on the side.

Tim: What are you thinking then?

Audrey: Something that actually reflects both of us. Red Lightning’s power, Braid’s connection… and a clean fade into whatever comes next. People are already calling it Red Braid Fade.

Tim: You’re serious about that name?

Audrey: Dead serious. It shows the merger isn’t one company swallowing the other. It’s a real combination.

Tim: Fine. Shared board. New name. But I want majority control of the product team. Lightning doesn’t wait for consensus on every feature.

Audrey: And I want majority say on partnerships and client retention. You don’t get to torch relationships just because you’re moving fast.

Tim: Deal on that?

Audrey: Deal… if the valuation is equal. No discounting Braid just because we’re quieter.

Tim: Equal valuation. Shared board. You take partnerships, I take product. And we call it Red Braid Fade.

Audrey: Then we have a merger.

Tim: Let’s get the lawyers in here and make it official.

Facing such a massive machine from a tiny boat is terrifying, but we all have a duty to do whatever we can to protect our sacred lands and waters.
